Homemade pizza recipe:
Regarding the pizza dough:
- One teaspoon of oregano, dried
- Half a teaspoon of dried basil
- One minced garlic clove (optional)
- To taste, add salt and pepper for the toppings:
- 1½ cups of mozzarella cheese, shredded
- pepperoni slices, veggies (such bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms), or any additional toppings you like
- (Optional) fresh basil leaves
- Parmesan cheese, grated (optional)
Make the dough first.

n a small bowl, combine the sugar, yeast, and warm water. Let it sit until it foams, 5 to 10 minutes.
Mix the flour and salt together in a big bowl. Stir in the olive oil and yeast mixture.
The dough should be smooth and elastic after 5 to 7 minutes of kneading on a floured surface.
Put the dough in a basin that has been lightly greased, cover it with a fresh towel, and let it rise for an hour, or until it has doubled in size.
Step 2: Get the sauce ready
- Add the tomato sauce, oregano, basil, garlic, salt, and pepper to a small saucepan over medium heat.
- After 5 to 10 minutes of simmering, let it cool.
- Step 3: Put the Pizza Together
- Set the oven temperature to 475°F (245°C). Heat a baking sheet or pizza stone in the oven.
- On a floured surface, punch down the dough and roll it out into a 12-inch circle.
- To make handling the dough easier, move it to a piece of parchment paper.
- Leaving a thin border around the borders, evenly distribute the prepared sauce over the dough.
- Over the sauce, scatter the mozzarella cheese shreds.
- Add the toppings of your choice (vegetables, pepperoni, etc.).
Step 4: Make the pizza
Gently move the pizza off the parchment paper onto the hot baking sheet or pizza stone.
Bake for ten to twelve minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and the crust is brown.
Take it out of the oven and let it a minute to cool.
Step 5: Offer
If preferred, top with a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves.
